Help needed no ca found error what do I do next

Hi I currently own a technomate tm twin that works like a dream when I friend asked me if she bought a dream box dm800 pvr would I set it up for her, she purchased the box but it came with a strange image I was unfamiliar with, so I decided to flash it with the black hole image.

After I flashed it with a version another forum member suggested the box displayed the: error1 no ca found!! i am currently awaiting delivery of a null modem cable. Once the cable comes what do i do next could someone go through it step by step

I am well out of my comfort zone and would be so grateful do help.

    Kind regards,
    Rvandebos1

    Hi rvandenbos1

You have probably flashed the box with wrong image.
It's something that can be fixed with the null modem cable and the correct image.

In order to help you more and to avoid any mistake on image, you have to tell us first which model exactly is your box (clone), the sim and the boot loader.

        0. have a cup a tea , then

        from my cookbook:

If the box can be detected in Dreamup,

        __http://www.mediafire.com/download/swutnqi59q1wex0/DreamUP-800.exe

then flash the second stage without network connection in Dreamup.

        __http://www.mediafire.com/download/i8fmxse518ib6al/SIM2-DM800-SE-SSL84.zip

        (SIM2-DM800-SE-SSL84.zip)

        1) You have to have a working dreambox.
        2) DM800_repair, you alter dreamup to be able to use greyed buttons.

        Now for the first sollution.

        1) Connect working dreambox DM600/DM800.
        2) Open dreamup, press connect.

        3) When dreambox is found by dreamup, insert Null-Modem cable in the broken dreambox.
        4) Press flash button, and chose a firmware.

        5) The flash progress will probably hang, its OK.
        6) Open dreamup again, connect the broken box, press connect.

        7) If all went ok, you can now flash box again, (Use only serial
        communication)
        enjoy

Sorry im a bit confused ....

if the box can be detected by dream up then i should:
          1. use DreamUp-800.exe
2.what file do i use in the zip file as i have 6 files ?

what do you mean when you say a working dream box is this another solution ?

Also what image should i use ?

            Hi

First you have to find what is your sim card version.

Is there a sticker under your box?

If you can't find it or you don't know which sim is used, you have to open up the cover of the box and remove it and look at the sim.

Moreover, there is a way to find it from the bootloader, buy holding the power button
it will flash up on lcd, but I think that you can't do this because of the error that you get.

Re: Help needed no ca found error what do I do next

This summary "tutorial" to explain how to fix a DM800 not booting with the code "ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND" on the screen.

                  Cause of the error:
                  - bad flash
                  - official image flashed

                  -> ERR01 : NO CA FOUND

                  What doesn't work anymore:
                  - no boot
                  - no network connection
                  - no possible image upgrade
                  - DreamUp unable to upgrade even with serial cable

                  Solution:
                  1) Use DreamUp 1.3.3 with serial (null modem) cable
                  2) Choose COM1, connect, power ON DM800 and wait
                  3) After a few seconds the DM800 screen will come back with an IP address
                  4) Type in that address in IE
                  5) Flash first a BootLoader (ex: 72R1)6) reboot DM800 and hold power button
                  7) Wait for IP to appear on DM800 screen
8)Type in that address in IE
                  9) Flash your desired image
