    mgcamd goes to usr/bin
    and mg_cfg, ignore.list, priority.list, replace.list peer.cfg, cccamd.list
    goes to usr/keys

    open mg_cfg
    and locate this
    # config files folder (softcam, autoroll, ignore/priority)
    # 00 files in /var/keys
    # 01 files in /tmp
    T: { 00 }

    change /var/keys to usr/keys

FTP the IPK file to /tmp. Then install the extension from your dreambox and restart.

          Hello tech1010

Why you want to install mgcamd with DCC?
There is a simplest way to do what you want...

First try to find if your image can connect with the server feeds with cams.
If this is posible you can download the latest version of mgcamd and mg_cfg for your image.

If your image can't give you access to the feed server of cams, you have to install ts panel or trr plugin.
Both of them are available on forum.
The installation can be done by putting the IPK file to /tmp and then install it manual from your box.
After installation you will be able to download and install everything you want by running this plugin.

            A question in that direction:

Before I change my running system - what are the advantages of mgcamd compared with cccamd 2.21 as cs-client?

i need mgcamd for dish tv. Dish tv is using multi encryption system.. Cccam works only to open conax channels other encryptions open with mgcamd,. Actually i have installed mgcamd so many times in softcams menus.. But mgcamd not working.. Even when i put my c line in mgcamd conx channels too stop working.. Mgcamd is not working.. Then i am trying to install mgcamd with dcc.

                when installed,
to convert cccam config into mgcam config, do this:

                cat /var/etc/CCcam.cfg >> /var/keys/cccamd.list

mgcamd is a little faster than cccam

Did you set the permission for the file in /usr/bin?

This is just a cut & paste job from me credit goes to MasterG on another forum
the only thing I am adding is that G:{33} set like this for c line and like aplok has
said for c line you need camd.list in which you copy and paste your line and the
permission of mg_cfg needs tobe set to 755 as well. It might give you idea.

How to : Mgcamd + Oscam SatelliteBG Conax
Here are working configs for SatelliteBG Conax using Mgcamd + Oscam for updating the monthly entitlements.

why do you need to install both mgcam and oscam ?

oscam is required for mgcam ?

mgcam is required to enable oscam to handle mgam ?

is it mandatory for client ?
is it mandatory for server ?

                          thx

no dear i just need mgcamd configuration. i trying hard from last one week to get dish tv on mgcamd but still unable to get it.. My c line is working well in cccam. But in mgcamd no channel is opening.. 1. Pls one more query is how many total files are there in mgcamd or in usr/keys after installing mgcamd.
                            2. When i install mgcamd in softcams or from add ons. I get four files by default in usr/keys 1. Mg_cfg 2. Priority list 3. Replace. List 4. Softcam keys.. There are no other files like cccamd.list peer.cfg newcamd.list. Only then i was asking to install mgcamd manually.. Thanks.. I ll feel proud on this forum and my friends who ll guide me to solve my problem..

For mgcamd to work with c lines you need a camd.list file as well, it is in this that you type
or copy/paste your c line and then in mg_cfg edit G: so that mgcamd knows it is dealing
with CCcam, I suggested to set G: { 33 } like this so that it works with newcam and cccam
i.e sum 01=newcam +32=cccam=33 and you have to set permissions to 755.
