    vlc - web x tv

When I try to run Web X TV, VLC loads and ask for a plugin? I am running Firefox and the latest VLC 2.0.8 but have no idea what plugin or where from. Any info much appreciated.

Would you mention the box type, the image and the plugin requested?

The box is a dm600 using pli image and the plug in is what I am trying to find, the message just says a plugin is required but does not state either a name or type!

Try reinstalling vlc. There is an option during installation to install plugins for firefox/mozilla... Make sure it's selected.

If the above does not work, try using chrome?
..And if chrome also doesn't work (unlikely) try using a custom dreambox player such as tunisiasat dreambox viewer or dreamviewer, not sure about the latter.

It's very strange the fact you said that vlc loads, so what should be the missing plugin?
Are you sure it's not spam?

maybe you have to set videolan as the only software able to open .m3u files
