How to get EPG for different providers on e1

    Hello satlovers.

I have a dm500s (e1) with openpli image installed. My doubt is: is there a way to get the EPG from different providers for 7 days? How to?

    regards

    Hi mate

Yes, it's possible but you need the right plugin and of course the necessary space in dm500s.

I think that there is a plugin for openpli images that works very well with your box.
It's name is "CrossEPG" and is for E1 boxes.

The hard job is to find more space for epg storage and there's only one way...
you have to mount a disc from your pc in order the necessary data to stored.
    Look here for more info:

      Right !
One week of epg will require some space that you surely can't free up from your var.
The only way is to mount it from a network share, better if a nas, so you don't have to power on your pc every time you need it.

Are you sure there is an E1 version?
I've searched but only found it for E2.

Thanks a lot, my friends! When i make zapping i can only see the epg for 1-2 hours and nothing more in the majority of the providers. For what you have said the problem will be lack of space in my old dm500s...

          regards

you have to find the transponder there update the epg
i use transponder 10934 v 7/8 on 0,8 vest to update epg to canal digital nordic
i haven't found out which transponder there update viasat on 5 east
if anyone know let me know

              Right!

The biggest problem in dm500s is the lack of space.
You can't connect a usb stick or you can't connect a HDD to give more space.
The only solution is the network mounting with a HDD of your pc.

That's a good solution! If we know the transponder that updates the epg for each provider and we spend five minutes on that transponder we get the epg.

                  regards

EPG data can be received from sat transmission itself (but you have to know very detailed infos about transponder such as nid ,tsid, sid and pids ) or from internet sources.

By the way, here are the rytec sources that crossepg uses for digital+ spain.

                      Code:
                      channels
                      _http://www.xmltvepg.be/rytec.channels.xml.gz

I have checked them and they definitely work !

i had the info, and wanted to post it where epg is related
                            to trace it,
                            before to loose it otherwise

may be this post should migrate to a dedicated epg topic ...
