hello my dm500s clone with sifteam, change image proportion (16:9; 4:3; ... ) often during a movie, may depend on what?
the TV is set to 16:9 fixed, but the dm does not matter, changing proportions anyway.
it's annoying

Hello mate

You can try to select "Auto" as aspect ratio and not 16:9 on your tv set.
The tv detects the appropriate aspect ratio and works like it should.
When you select the 16:9 aspect ratio, is possible some channels to be stretched.

May be a second of cut out causing this. after restarting in less than a second it goes to 4:3 check again your settings as dear kalpikos told you.

Maybe a bad contact on pin 8 of your scart plug.
This pin is used to send aspect ratio informations to tv:
4.5 V–7 V (nominal 6 V) means a widescreen (16:9) signal
9.5 V–12 V (nominal 12 V) means a normal (4:3) signal
You can also use a digital multimeter to check this levels

I do not use scart, i use the connectors yellow, red and white

If you don't find any solution for your problem by changing the settings, you can try to reflash your box with other image.
Maybe your image has some bug and doesn't works properly.
Look for a Pli image as I know for sure that works ok with the 16:9 aspect ratio.

I have already experienced the same thing like you. Not with a dm500s clone but with an another receiver. I think this must be the broadcaster's fault.

I do not use scart, i use the connectors yellow, red and white

If you are using CVBS (composite video), go to A/V settings in system menu and put a flag on "disable WSS"

try a scart the are much betters than 3 colors wire.

That is why it would be good to know if it happens on one certain channel or on every channels. If it happens on only one channel, there's no problem at filicart's tv and receiver.

I tried to do what I say, but keeps changing proportion, now I'll try the scart.

as said previously by other members: play a little with your settings (box and tv), just write down how they were - nothing about this in the operators manuals?

I tried to play with the settings of the tv decoder, but nothing. no I can't try it on another tv.
