          so, by now,

as the clone has eaten the genuine,

the clone can sell them self at the price of the genuine !

that is not just clownesque, it is simply genius !

A "take over" has nothing to do with bankruptcy. Mostly it's a sign that the product is good but perhaps too expensive or another company wants to earn money with this product.

In this case, It will be the second option, rather than first one... Anyway anyhow, good as long as manufacturing is alive and producing... )

As a basic nature law - everithing born, grouth, live and then die. No one can escape from this. So for now the best think is to wait and see

Re: Dream Multimedia has declared Bankruptcy

It is known, that they have some financial problems. And it is also known that their products have a good quality and also a high price. So their only chance to survive in the market is to be a leader in quality, performance and innovationt. So the new v2 is a "must have" for them to have this chance to survive.

The question is not that. It's an paradox: if the DMM declared bankruptcy, it's game over! Then we have upgraded models?!

                            regards

What a great shame this is I started with a dm 500s which I loved I now use a dm800hd both products were outstanding and brought me a lot of pleasure. Yes they are expensive but they were so far advanced of there time. I supose all good things have to come to an end

Well clones will be around for a long long time either way, we are just not gonna have any new models. But what would you want if you have an HD receiver? Not much else, 4K is still just something from the future, I don't think it will be implemented and used in the next 4 years so at least until then we're all set. Come to think of it? How many of us are still using SCART and stuff? I know I do cause I have a crappy old TV and a DM800 clone. I'm far from being alarmed, maybe when everything goes 4K and my box becomes outdated but until then it's more than sufficient.
