    DM500-S favourite chan missing?

After jtagging my db500 again, the only image I could get working ( with built in ccam ) was a Gemini one, I don't know what version though.

I have very limited knowledge of all this !

Its working, but I no longer have the choice of Discovery Channel ?

I tried loading another satellite list for it to look in but no luck.

I am in Africa and receive from Intelsat 20 Ku 68.5E
    any suggestions?

First of all be careful when you load images.
You must know if you receiver is original or a clone……….and choose the appropriate image.
Nevertheless, you have passed the image installation stage and settings installed has nothing to do with the image.
Go to _http://www.cyrussettings.com and download a motorized setting. DB500 is Enigma 1.
Use Dreamset to edit and remove the satellites you don’t need.
On the other hand if you do have some channels running, do a blind scan.
You can also do a manual scan by looking for the current frequency etc. of Discovery Channel from here _http://www.lyngsat.com/Intelsat-20.html

Lyngsat doesnt mention Discovery chan for the africa ku band settings, but I tried a manual scan of all the frequencies and polarisations they list, and found no new services ??

I did a full transponder scan which showed 18 new services, but still no Discovery Chan.

I am tempted to load a new image ( my previus ones had Discovery ) but I found I had to load an image with Ccam2.3 incorporated as I couldnt load the Ccam afterwards ( for some reason )

Is there a nice Pli image for a db500S clone that has Cacm2.2 included ?

You should give a try to watch isnside the receiver. Maybe it can be a transistor problem. A friend of mine also has a db 500S clone. He had the same problem like you. The receiver couldn't find all the channels. He got changed the transistor and it worked better than ever.

            Hi mate

Obviously, you have a clone dreambox and for them, are very common problems of this type.
As @bakfitty said, maybe is a transistor inside the m/b of the box, so you need someone with very good knowledge in electronics, in order to fix it.

As about the discovery on 65.5E, here are all the channels of the satellite:

As you can see, there are some discovery channels but I don't know if you can get them in your area or even you can watch them because are encrypted.
My suggestion is to load a new satellite.xml file taken from here:
-http://satellites-xml.eu and the do a manual scan.
Also you can check your dish alignement.
