    DM800se clone, No hand shake

I recently got a dm800se clone on sunray4, sim2. After getting the dm network on lan testing good. Im able to send good pings from the telnet of the box.

The box will not send out hand shake or data on its own. With the swap to my dm500 clone on the same lan, data flows both ways and clines work well.
I upgraded the cccam from 2.2.0 to 2.3.0 and the results remain the same.

Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be, and any suggestion
    on what I should do.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry mate, but I do not understand what do you mean with "hand shake".
Would you explain better what is your problem ?

        Hi @Momba0

If I understood well , you have problem with the network in the 800se.
Have ever made these box to work ok? or the problem is from the beginning?

Check again the settings for your cccam in your box and of course the cccam.cgf
Also, you can try other image.

          hi Momba0

I'm also not 100% sure what you mean and which cable you're exactly talking about (utp?) - anyway: googling 'handshake utp' has some Guidelines and Troubleshooting as result.

Handshaking is an automated process of negotiation, that dynamically sets parameters of a communications channel established between two entities before normal communication over the channel begins.

Ok, let me try to explain things in another way.

If you set up some sort of monitor of your send and rcv signal or data going across your network, you will see that the to devices send back and forth to each other even when there is no data being sent. That is hand shaking, like checking on the other device to see if its there and ready to receive data while the other acknowledges that it is there and ready to receive. Like a keep alive signal.

On my network, there is this type of signal shown between the dm and my pc, in a good operating state. But, with this dm800, I only see the pc sending out now and then with no reply from the dm.

As i mentioned, connecting my dm500 clone to the same lan/network shows a lot of signaling send/rcv from both the dm and the pc as it should be.

                hi Momba0

only experience with handshake I have is with (old) RS232 serial nullmodemcable - used to have problems because the connection/transferring speed needed to be the same on the pc and the stb - perhaps check if you can change this speed somewhere in the 800 - sure all (network+internet) settings on the 800 are ok?

I think you shouldn't worry about that ... If you have ping response from both sides, or if you can telnet to the box, it means tcp/ip connection is fully established between pc and receiver.
There is no reason why your receiver should exchange unsolicited data with your pc.
But if you are curious and just want to know what is the origin of the traffic that you have with dm500 (but not with dm800) use netstat command.

I feel that the network is connected alright since it works good with the dm500.

I dont know what to be looking for in the netstat cmd but here is a copy from the dm800.

Netstat from dm800 is only showing an ftp session initiated from pc side.
Netstat from dm500 is showing a previous ftp session, a telnet session and two clines pointing to the same server but different ports.

I iniated the telnet from within the 800 and you say it shows from the pc.
What could cause that and what do you think I can do about this?

Thanks for your feedback and all of this is way over my head. It has been suggested to me to just load another image because this one might not be functioning as it should be.
Im looking into a good image for this clone box. It seems that Gemini is a good choice.
