Hi all
Been away from satellite reception for almost 6 years and I'm considering getting back
I still have a DM500S that I used in 30w (Hispasat) but been away for so long I don't know if it's still 'usable'.

cant see a reason not to work, so if you are still having a good satellite signal and an internet connection you can use a free cline from here and have your tests.

I suggest you install the nemesis 4.4 for dm 500s
is still a non-HD decoder and then an old man

as said by other members: should work ; if you use an old setup, be sure to control or renew your 'old' material (dish, lnb, cables, connectors, ...) - could help you afterwards avoiding troubles.

What image do you have installed on dm500s?

First you must install an EMU - i suggest cccam.

Then you must insert a cline in cccam config files - you can get one for free satlover server - remember you can only add one cline from the same satlover server.

6 years is much time, but don't worry
In these years, many things have been changed.
Then, we were using keys to open a channel, now we are using lines via internet.

Your box is ok. Maybe isn't a HD receiver but is still a good receiver for sd channels.
I have the same box and doesn't give up.

You need a new image for your box, as the Open Pli image and of course a new version of the cccam emulator.

The sattelite Hispasat 30w is still using, but you need new sat settings for the new channels.
I suggest you using the latest Vhannibal settings.

Finally you must find a line to put in your cccam.
