The DM 800se would be the best clone if you're set on a dreambox.
But I would suggest you make sure the freezing is not down to your server.
More often than not freezing/glitching is down to server or broadband rather than the receiver.

            Common/basic routers that I meant are priced € 20.
Not to forget that sometimes receivers might be connected to non programmable hubs/switches.

              Re: Dm800se sim 2.10 vs sim a8p

              Dear @nasir_acc80

The freezing you have could be from your line.
I mean, the line you use maybe isn't as good as you think.
It's better to try it with other box to see what really happens.

As about the receiver you want to buy, I suggest you a dm800s with a8p card.
If you buy online, be careful the very low prices and unknown shops and also the taxes from China.
If could find somewhere in a local store, it would be better because you could fill more sure about the warranty.

i suppose this test is done with the same internet connection

if so, all this sounds like that if your

                  venerable DVB-S dm500s (Processor STBx25xx, 252MHz, SD, 32 MByte Flash, 96 MByte RAM (Arbeitsspeicher)),

do have a bigger video buffer when compared

with DVB-S2 open box s16hd (Processor: 300 MHz MIPS, HD, RAM ??? )

by the way, do you know the RAM of the open box ?

                        Vu+ solo2 all the way. I've had dm800 se, vu+ duo and now have a solo2.
The solo2 is the best by a long way. Don't give it any more consideration, just get the solo2.
