    backup image

hi, ive just set up my choice image (dreamboxuk). i have the plugins i want working well and i also have my settings in all ok, so i decided to make a backup image so that if i get problems in the future i can go straight back to this image. im running a clone sim 2.10 dreambox 800hd se, now for my question: when i reinstall the backup image will it already contain the bootloader (im using bootloader 84b) or will i have to install the bootloader after the image?

    thanks in advance

    Re: backup image

why are you complicate your world. I thing you can make a settings backup on your box and save a copy from the actual image somewhere on your pc or on your box(/media/hdd). Install a Backup image schould not be very faster than the real image.
What are you hope to won with that image backup.

    Regards

        Re: backup image

hi clark, im not comlicating anything, just asking a question, my reason is that i have more than one dreambox 800se and i want to be able to flash each of them with the same image/settings. it would be easier to flash each box once with all the settings and plugins already working.

thanks parsonline, i cant use dcc as i have a linux laptop and dcc doesnt work for me.

          hi nush,
you can use dFash plugin. With it you are able to backup your image and all settings and save all on a harddisk(/media/hdd).
