Thanks luk4asz, like I said this is rather new to me.

Log in to the box as root. Enter
    find / -name CCcam.cfg
Are we talking about in DCC here?

I can look under explorer, and once the box is rebooted, the CCcam.cfg files are everywhere, in var/etc ( where I put it ), and in var/flash var/ini and in loads of subfiles.

OK for some reason the 16001 is working now. I will plat some more !

      In windows run "cmd.exe" h**p://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_Prompt
      Write to cmd
      telnet IPYourBox (egamle: telnet 192.168.1.101)
      login: root
password: root (or your own password) (you will not see characters introduced)
      Now write
      find / -name CCcam.cfg

      Code:
      run cmd.exe
      telnet 192.168.1.101
      login: root
      password: root
      find / -name CCcam.cfg
      Install TotalCommander in your computer.
      Add FTP connection
      Code:
      Session - DM500
      Host name[:Port] - 192.168.1.101 (your box IP)
      user name - root
password - root (or You own password)
      OK
      Connect to DM500

        Re: editing CCcam in etc.ini

I am getting lost there, but I do have ftp worling with DCC

It appears that the only time I can communicate with my server is when I have a image with CCcam 2.2.1 installed.

I could the enter the DBs ip with the :16001and it would show mw that it is communicating.

I think I must try and get back to that , and then fine tune the C:line.

If I load a laterimage, I can only download CCcam2.3, is there a way I can load 2.1 ? either by ftp or whatever ?

Re: editing CCcam in etc.ini FIXED

I had to flash Nabilosat image in the end, it has integral CCcam 2.2.1

I battled to get all the satellites, but I ftpd a satellites.xml file into a couple of directories and it found Intelsat 20.

Thanks all for the suggestions !

it depend to your image if you cant use dcc also you use filezila
fist set ip receiver and then use dcc or filezia sometimes this software conflict with antivirus.

Although there are a number of options for doing the same things.

Once you have flashed your box using DCC and started to use your new image to select cccam etc. I use PLI and found it works well.

Then using a text editor on your computer you can edit your cccam.cfg and cccamd.list files when you need to make any changes i.e. updates etc. When you have made the changes you can then as Parsonline has said use Filezilla to ftp direct to the directories in your dm. Don't forget to change the permissions to 755, which you can do in filezilla by a right click.
