dreambox 500s wont boot

after instaling new settings list dm500 freeze with black picture on tv.I flash it with new image many tumes but its the same.Black screen with no signal.What may be the problem

If you are flashing with webinf, you might want to try flash with dreamup and see if better.

ok i want to answer me someone who understand what is problem,not answers try dreamup that version this version not flash via lan,flashwizard..etc. I know all that.If dreambox wont boot u canot flash via lan becouse cant connect to network.only dreamup work in this case.So to be clear i flash with dreamup and flashing go ok its recognize dm, i earse old image and add new.But when i turn on dm it has no signal and the remote dont work to.

If you have upped firm by serial port you cna do nothing more for it.

maybe you have the same problem that i have the tuner are dead
try to pick it out and see about it will boot now
i can boot my dm800 hd pvr without the tuner

no my friend but then you know that you have a faulty tuner
and shall only replace that with a new one

on 500 s you cannot change the tuner but i dont think is tuner broken,try "old fashion" way,with rs232

Is it the problem that you can not boot the DM500 or do you have the problem that you don not see the channels after flashing the new image into the DM500

The main title is "Dremabox 500s wont boot". Reading your post you have problems when it boots.

So you dont have any signal on the television from the dreambox.
Just a question. When flashing with the null modem cable did you check the box "Include Bootloader". If you dont check that box your flashing wont work.
Do the flashing again and select the "Include Bootloader". Hopefully it will work.

it should work with nullmodemcable
if you think it's because of the firmware try pli jade 3
Black screen also can mean broken tuner
if nothing helps i don't know either
but it has to be one of these things

HI peremacedonia, Did you try flasing the box including the boot loader file as suggested in my earlier post. Most of the people when they flash their box, they dont include this file and the flashing doesn't work. We need your feedback.
