    i have a dm7025 with newnigma2 v. 3.2.1.

I tried to enable the authentication HTTP or HTTPS in the webinterface plugin but the user and password used for telnet or FTP doesn't work (root, dreambox - i don't change it for now).
Which user and pw should i use?
I searched in vain in the forum.

Have you tried changing the password in telnet to something else?

i can't recall but i don't think you have to enable it
just type http://yourdreamboxip in your browser

That is correct, you don't have to enable it.
But it is best to be secure and enable http authentification, especially if accessing from outside your lan.

          thanks to all.
Now i changed the pw for root, enabled https authentication and try to browse to https://MyIpBox. At the login promt i use root and the new passw and so it work well.
It's ok also if i use DOS prompt to connect via telnet o FTP.
But now i have a little problem: Dreambox Control Center start with the olr password and then fail to connect. i change it, it work, but at new start i found the old pw again. where i can can for ever? in the ini file i don found where.

Don't you just change it in configuration > Network?
Failing that why don't you just telnet it back to the password you have in dcc?

                Re: help for webinterface plugin

                solved !!!
it was in loop for the "update pakage list" of the last login with the old pw.
After the reset and the correct login DCC preserve the new pw.
No need ini file. Just right login...
