Thanks to all,could not flash from dreamedit just kept saying checksum and that was it finally managed to connect through dream control centre reflashed the original nemisis image and am now up and running once again thanks for all the input stanhig

don't use dcc cos you cant delete everything anyway
many files are hidden so you can't see and delete them for your own secure
and you can't use dcc in boot menu
do as you are being told several times now

Thanks Nush,i tried to connect using dcc which plots your connection computer to modem connection is ok but computer to box will not connect it says dream login not successful is there away to change the login details?from root /dreambox to something else?or alternately wipe the dreambox clean and start again?

hi stanhig, sorry for being so brief in my first post, it suggested that you had just installed the nemisis image so i assumed you had flashed that image yourself. i flash mine via web interface, as has already been said power off your box, next press button on front and hold it in. turn on power. keeping the button pressed until you get your ip address, then type that ip address into your chosen web browser, im told internet explorer is best but i have used chrome and firefox with no problem. once logged in choose the image that you want to flash, nemisis is fine but loads to choose from (make sure its suitable for your box) then hit flash and be patient, sometimes it looks like nothing is happening. when the option to reboot when complete box becomes available click that and wait again. your box will reboot, then it wiil need to be setup again. hope this helps and again i am sorry for my previouse very brief reply.

you shall use http://192.168.0.2 <--click this link and you should connect
if that doesn't work only solution are a null modem

Have a look or count the devices connected to the router at your home. Lets suppose you have 5 devices then Try to give your box ip like this.
192.168.0.6
I will always leave one space empty so no conflicts with the other devices

Have held the power button and got an ip 192-168-0-2 tried to connect with dream control centre but .......

IP addresses use dots, i.e 192.168.0.2

Have held the power button and got an ip 192-168-0-2 tried to connect with dream control centre but it says dream login failed also will not connect if i try to connect on the net can you suggest any solutions please its a clone box so im completely stuck is there any way of wiping the memory and starting from scratch?

you do it by holding power button while you turn on the dm800
then look in the display and see what ip there are writing
write the ip in your browser on the pc
now you should see some different buttons to click on

if its a clone then its time to reflash, but dont update through image.

irecenytly installed sat for fun nemisis image I alloed it to update offthe web it now says booting then loading enigma 2 and after a while says turn off. thats as far as i can go,box is unusable now,can anyone suggest a solution? please am at my wits end.
