    Film voiceovers

    Hi all

    I have just this weekend set up my DM500S for the first time and everything seems to be working fine - so far so good. However, on each film channel I've got a voiceover (for visually impaired presumably) and I cannot find any way of deactivating it.

    Can anyone help please?

    Cheers

    Try setting the audio to default to DD5.1 in the menu depending on your image most just have English etc... the only other solution is to change track once your on the channel in question

      Also on your remote control there is an audio button (bottoam left hand side of the middle panel) press this and you can change audio settings (if available) individually but on setting your language preferences choose english as first choice and original as second

        on my image English is my first choice but i still have to change audio manually with the audio button. Not too much trouble though

          you can on most images set your preferred language
          in menu/settings/system(somewhere in there)
          depending on your image

            Sorry chaps. I was away yesterday and only just got back and online again

            Thanks for the replies but that's why I'm confused - I don't have an audio button on my handset and cannot find an option anywhere to change the audio onscreen.

            I'm using Darkstar II if that helps?

              It will be one of the coloured buttons on the DM remote that changes the audio settings normally yellow but could be another colour

                Thanks again but all I get with the coloured buttons is;

                Red = EPG (Now and next)
                Green = Blank/Nothing?
                Yellow = Nabilo yellow panel (plugins)
                Blue - Nabilo Blue panel (default CAM)

                Is it worth installing another image?

                  Did you try changing the preferences in the main menu on your image

                    Re: Film voiceovers

                    How do I do that?

                    In the menu, I go to 6 - Setup, then have 5 options;

                    1. Service organising
                    2. Service Searching
                    3. System settings
                    4. Parental lock
                    5. Expert setup

                    The obvious one is 3 but that only gives me Time settings, A/V settings, Keyboard Setup, OSD Settings and OSD Language but non of them have an option for audio

                              If you can't do it try flashing openPLI instead of darkstar and you will read in one of my previous posts how to do it
