It could be a power supply fault.

On my DM500s the greenlight would come on and stay on, the remote wouldnt do a thing (not even make the light flash) and there was no output from the scart.

I changed the power supply to another 12v supply and it works again no bother

Try using a different power supply of the 12v 3 or 4 amp flavour and see if that works

(I actually use a 12v 8 to 10 amp CB radio power supply but any good 12v powerpack should do as long as the ampage is high enough)

I have had the same happen to mine, i have managed to reboot it via dreamboxedit or dcc and it seems to clear it. Try it you never know

I couldn`t even do that when my power supply went down, I got no response from the WebIF, from FTP or anything else but as mentioned above a power supply changed fixed the box

The power supply on mine was a really poor china import and the ampage was something stupid like 1.5/2amp so using a motor all the time killed it off

Try Rikksow`s advise first and if that doesn`t work, try and lend a 12v power pack that`s about 3 amp or so and give that a go

I found rebooting with dreamedit works better than DCC when i have had that problem. But as Boroboy said it might be your psu. Mine is a genuine DM500s not so sure about imports
