OMG What have i Done?

Ok so today i decided to change the image on my DM500s from OpenPLI to commando and since then everything has gone Pete Tong. I now cant get any of the bbc channels on the box (yet if i plug the cables into my skybox everyhit works fine) i have tried manually adding transponders but to no avail. Also i can transfer bouquet via dreamboxedit when i go into my bouquets all i have is some removed bouquet from 19e which i have never had. I have reflashed open PLI onto my box but still the same problems. What have i done and how do i solve it?

you should try to change your power supply. may be it can affect.

Sorry i don't understand why that would make any difference? I do have some channels but surely if there was a problem with the power supply then nothing would work.

i think is a problem with satellites.xml,is old.when you changed your image,your s...xml was replaced.
search for a new satellites.xml(****** it) and do a new search

try fast- and/or blindscan ; are the sats still there/installed properly?

When i do a fast scan it only shows Astra 19e and i am trying to find Astra 28e even when i try to enter the transponders manually its not having it. I will search for satellites.xml where do i put it when i find it. DCC still appears to be communicating with my box. Is there a way i can transfer sgtflipflop bouquet using DCC?

Ok so heres the latest. I have put in a new version of satellites.xml and rescanned and it has now found the channels. However it does not want to play any of the free to air channels. Also i have flashed over Sgtflipflop via dreamboxedit and when i go into bouquets on the box it says removed service. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

satellites-xml.eu,select what satellites do u have,then channels without hd(500s is not hd).copy to var/etc(make a sat.xml backup copy from your dm)

did you setup the diseq or motor again after reinstall
and after new satellites.xml

position of satellites may be different from the other lists (previous settings). example, here is the 10-02 3/5/Intelsat Thor 0.8W, other type list appears 1W.
So if you had made a selection of channels (bouquets) and setting different satellites (number of degrees), certain adjustments must be made.

I don't have disecq it is only fixed on 28e single satellite.

i dont understand,you have or not 19,2 and 28?i dont know why you cannot see fta channels,check cables and av settings from dm500,and maybe another image.

The only satellite i have ever had access to is 28.2e. I heard good things about the commando image so i decided to have a go with it. I tried it and it hung up my box so i decided to put OpenPLI back on it and since then i am unable to put back bouquets on it and it keeps hanging. When i look into fast scan it only gives me two provider options which are tv vlaandaren & canal+. Now i have managed to scan all the channels back and when i open for example sly sports it is fine but when i try and open bbc 1 i get a black screen. Also when i try and flash a bouquet on the box it appears to work but when i open up the bouquet there are just a load of folders called removed service. Wish i'd left well alone now and just been happy with what i had in the first place.

ok solved it, went for a full factory reset and rebuilt it from scratch.
