Newcamd for DM500s

Hi i am relatively new to the world of satellites and i have a dreambox dm500s and have so far set it up with cccam and am running clines with no problem (although some break up on free servers) My question is multi layered. Firstly can you run Newcamd on my box, what is the difference between Newcamd & cccam and which is better. Also can anyone point me to a set up guide.

yes, you can run it.

Performance of the 2 cam are equivalent.

as metalchef says yes
but i suggest that you use mgcamd it uses newcamd protocol
and can handle clines glines nlines ETC
cos it are updated
newcamd are old and not updated

Thanks for that guys, so if i understand it correctly Newcamd can run my existing premium cline as long as other lines etc. Do you know whether there is a page where i can read about it further and also where i can d/l the emu.
