Anybody out there? Is it worth the price compared with VU+ models?

Re: 7020 hd
Agree also if you are only considering between the 7020 & VU+. It a non contest. The VU+ wins but there are others out there. Xtrend ET9200 Silverline is another well worth a look.
I have been using a DM800HD clone for 3 years now and it's been superb but I wish I could get something as good for the price that also does FULL Media playback via LAN (i.e. stuff stored on my NAS).
Tried AZBox Elite which was OK but was never able to get it to timeshift or PVR properly and the interface was butt ugly.
When I save up some money I am going to look at the Xtrend or perhaps even risk another try with the AZBox Me as I am not keen on the way the VU+ uses plugins for Media Playback, LAN or otherwise. Also not seen confirmation anywhere yet that issues with Divx & Xvid have been sorted out on it. Seems too complex to get working also.
I guess that in the end it all depends on what you want or what you really need.Comment

Re: 7020 hd
The 7020HD uses the same Broadcom Chipset 7413, The same as what is in the ET9200, VU+ Uno, VU+ Ultimo.
The only one it is on a par with exactly is the Ultimo as they both have 1gb of flash ram available to them none of the others do, The Ultimo has the upper hand though due to the fact you can fit 3 DVB-S2 tuners in it.Comment
