Error 10057 in function Send Socket is not connected?

Hello;

I m now busy for few hours but find nothing and i cant resolve the issue ,need some hulp,

Have this message (Error 10057 in function Send Socket is not connected
)comment when i try to connect the receiver with my DCC 2.95.
Maybe is befor discused on the forum but find nothing,

wat i have

DCC 2.95
reciever work befor ....is elite1 ebox
ip adres is good on the receiver

ping ip adresof dream===>sending 4,received 4 loes 0
telnet ipadresofdream===>cant make connexion with host on port 23

i wil realy apreciate any hulp

i know is defficul issue...i was spending almost all night yesterday but stil not solved...

Can you connect to the dec with filezilla using ftp?
Did you checked if you added involuntarely some rule to your firewall, maybe closing some port?
Did you checked also your antivirus? Maybe blocking DCC or telnet?
Do you have norton antivirus?

So you may ping, may do ftp but you can't do telnet.
Try to do this:
Goes into microsoft pages and download portqryv2 tool

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=17148

With this tool you can check if a port in another device is closed or open

Unzip the file from Microsoft, start a dos shell and type
portqry -n IPDecoder -r 1:99

This command will check the status of the device from port 1 to port 99

Read the output and focus your attention around port 23

did you tried with another cable ? another version of DCC ?? i had same once it was a problem with my freebox blocking ports..

Another cabel is not the issue ,i used the same cabel with another box and no issue ,

i thing also that the router block some porrt...but wat i know the router block only the extern incomming connextion not the intern....

How did you solve the issue sqazilou ?how did you open some poort?

Use Total Commander and, if necessary, temporarily disable the firewall.

Did you used the tool to check in remote the status of the ports?
You can see if the device port is closed or if the connection is blocked from router.

Just to have a fixed point to start from...

Hello Knap92,
here enclosed the freeware file from microsoft web site to test the status port of a remote device.

Unzip, copy the exe into a folder, start a dos shell, change CD into the new folder and execute the command.

If you execute the command without parameters, you will see the help.

Anyway case, the command to test port is:

portqry -n IPDecoder -r 1:99

-n <--- verbose
IPdecoder <--- Ip addres of the decoder
-r 1:99 <--- test from port 1 to 99

Take a look at port 23 to see the status.

I have also have this problem, i download a old version of dcc and now it works all the time.
