When choosing a Dreambox is it better to get original or clone?Also what are the differences and how can you tell which is which? ...

If you have money go to original because you can put all image and all plugin will work,if not try an clone but you can used just patched image and some plugin not worck(mediathek) and the fun make big noise after some time.

If u can afford it, always go for the original ones. Clones are about half the price of the original ones but could be problematic at times. U could also be lucky at times when they work like the original ones.

Clones are made in China - Cheap Labour
Genuine are made in Germany - Expensive Labour

thats the only different apart from the Sim.

it is simple original do not have fun cooler and clone have so yf you can start if you hear som noise from cooler is clone(at dreambox 800)

If clones have a cooling fan are they noisy in use,can they be heard when viewing a quiet program? Are they as reliable as originals?..

I am not shure that new originals have Made In Germany
also dm500HD and dm800se got a fan
