Upgrade SIM1 to SIM2.01 in a CLONE 800

Is that possible?

Since I 've tried it but no success!!!
I get DREAM ERROR in boot.
When I measure the dc Voltages in SIM socket it's like my 800 has no SIM in the socket.

You can upgrade it to a Ferrari card.
You can upgrade your sim1 card in the dm800 box.

Here is how:
1-flash your box with "free-ferrari-upgrade-1-1"
2-At plugins choose "genuine ferrari"
3-click on free sim1 --> to ferrari card
4-attend the message update card ok
5-flash the dreambox with a ferrari image with SS76FF3 inside.

Once your sim is converted, you can use only Ferrari images.

Old SIM1 cards cannot be converted to SIM2.01
You need to purchase one.

Thanks for your interesting reply, I was not aware of this upgrade,so I might try it,
BUT what I meant was that I put a SIM2.01 in the place of my SIM1 & it did not work is that because of my Clone been too old / doing something wrong or imposible to do?

Just load an image with the latest boot-loader.
It will update your box.
Try the images from the following site, they are the SIM 2 support site.

2.by putting an image & bootloader with the same result

In case no 2, when I put back my SIM1 the clone replied with something like SIM 2.01 team this is not the right SIM.

Finally the upgrade you mentioned before to Ferrari does it need a special programmer for the SIM or just a normal dreamup flash?

You do not need a programmer.
You can upgrade your sim1 card in the dm800 box.
Just follow the steps in my 1st answer.
The software listed will guide you.

The exercise could save you some cash.
If you are not pleased with the result, you can simply get a 2.01 SIM card as Fantom said.

The advantage of upgrading your SIM is that you can use the latest images patched for the card version that you have.

As far as I know, you can only convert SIM 1 cards to Ferrari.
But if this is not correct, ant input from other users is most welcom.
