how do i change default pw in jade pli image?

I had a bit of bother and re-laoded a jade pli image just now but i cant change the default pw via telnet!!

What exactly is the problem? Are you using Win telnet client or Putty?

the problem is i am going too fast but slowly getting the hang, i was using the wrong syntax and just did it now wiith putty and it worked.

Why not use DCC and select telnet mode?
Simply type:
passwd
twice, entering the new password each time.
It will not show on the black screen.



You can check that your password has worked or not by trying to log onto your box using the old password then the new one.
Your old password will give you a blank information on the dreambox side.
