Is it possible to receive Astra 19E - Eutelsat 16E in the same time or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat 16E with a duo LNB?

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
perhaps this is not the right place to ask these question but i will try to help you
you can receive hotbird (13°e) and eutelsat (16°e) by using a duo lnb:

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
can anyone confirm the document, someone who tested by him self or use. I think, if I receive hotbird (13°e) and eutelsat (16°e) why I couldn't asta (19.2°e) and eutelsat (16°e) by using a duo lnb, there is just a difference of 0.2°!Comment

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
Since the spacing diffrence is the same 3 degrees as with the previos setup, I see no reason why you could not.
remember to keep the weeker satellite on the center of the dish.Comment

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
The difference is 3 Degs. and not 0.2, and yes you can either use a combination of H/B & 16 E. OR 16E & Astra 19.2.Comment

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
You are not writing your exact position or dish size. So i see you are from europe so it will work with ICECRYPT 0.1dB 3 Degree Monoblock or Inverto 3 Degree Monoblock LNB or Inverto Black Pro 3 Degree Monoblock LNB. Dont forget these monoblocks are designed for 85cm dishes. In this case I will put the 16e to the center, becase 13e or 19e are satelittes with strong reception. And these sattelites are not on exact positions, for instance 13e is 13,02 to 13,06e, 16e is 15.81 to 16,05e and 19,2e is 19,15 to 19,23e. So that your 0,2 degree is not that important, you'll have reserve for bad weather, don't worry.HD-BOX FS-9200,SkyStar HD2 USB CI, Skystar2 90Fe Motor, 85Al Multifeed

hi, i tried this a long time ago, with a monoblock, standing at back of dish you should connect left horn on focal arm an that would be for 13e, an right horn for 19e, next thing to do is set you dish on 19e. you say you want 16e as well with same set-up an i found it would not work, two reasons, 1, lnb would not fit between 19 an 13 as you would require 16e to be prime as this is the weaker signal. 2, you will find that monoblock is self switching and would not work with a 4way diseqc switch system, i think you now can purchase very narrow lnbs so you can go the 3degree 3 lnb way. via 4way external diseqc switch. (monoblocks are really any good if you only want 2 sats.

And if so there is option, you can use alps lnb's to receive 3degree on multifocus. And multifocus can be used with another lnb with diseqc with option [option] you can use EMP P162IW Option or Spaun SUR 1.1.
So don't tell it's impossible, maybe in UK is it impossible. There is different reception. And you did not write what kind of dish and type of lnb, you have used when you tried it. So just chcek the web and you will find loads of successfull installations. Nazdar.HD-BOX FS-9200,SkyStar HD2 USB CI, Skystar2 90Fe Motor, 85Al Multifeed

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
if you look in the tip section have posted monoblock i used, what i actually was trying to say was if a person was to go the monoblock way, i found that it would not switch if using another lnb using a 4 way switcher, seperate cable needed, to a/b switch, this was on a tiny 90cm dish at the time, oh by the way 3degree monoblocks were not availble 7 years ago, i know he after just them 2, so perhaps he (gent) should go an spend some dosh an find out an gain experence by trying himself. 7years ago none of imformation about.

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
My undrstanding was as follows:
Is it possible to receive with a duo LNB
Astra 19E - Eutelsat 16E (3 degrees apart)
or
Hotbird 6- Eutelsat 16E (3 degrees apart)
So the answer is Yes.

Re: Astra - Eutelsat or Hotbird 6- Eutelsat
firsty, must put my hands up as i misread, thought gent was going to use monoblock and seperate lnd, to get 19,16,13.
the mono i used some time ago was a fortec star make, the idea was so i could get 19/13 on mono, and 3 other sats throu a 4X1 external diseqc switch but found that the switching in the mono would not switch (throu) via the external 4x1 diseqc switch, so the only way i could make this work was to have 2 cables, one directly from mono and one from outer 4x1 diseqc switch connecting to a indoors a/b switch, this way i found that i could receive 6 sats, before i installed motor. hope this clarifys the set up. as i said this was soon time ago and more modern kit availble now.Do not send me iptv/cline requests,

mines an old one if you want it, but 6 degrees apart, but you want 3degrees apart, sometimes gent, i only find that if you try yourself you find out results, as it seems no one else has tried, i think you bit concerned about the 0.2 bit on 19.2
good luck an let us all know how you get on.Do not send me iptv/cline requests,
