Its smells burned!!!! Dreambox 500s clone

Hi everybody.

Today my box smells burned.I open it and i saw this


Please note that the box is still ( ido not know for how long) full working.

Does anybody can tell me what is this? is this repaired? its secure to have the bot working?

Please help me.

i think personally get it checked even if working, i had a tv once (in bedroom) and it smelt burning one night, next night i fell asleep veiwing and woke up to find the tv on fire, luckily i was living in a bungalow at the time an manage to get it out of the front door with no other issues i was naked at the time approx 1am so no peeps about to shock, think about this if you leave on stanby an go to bed.

i would also suggest to change the component burned because i think its the signal component, i got also a "no signal problem" and i changed this thing to resolv this probleme

Of cource and i will power it off at the night. All i am interesesting to know is what is these there are burned and if worth it to fix it.

So do you thing that there is no expensive repair and if i will send it to a electonical repair will fix it?

Those are just some diodes, so it won't cost much, something like 0.1 euro/piece

It looks that someone with few experience replaced them before

Those marks around it are from the soldering process, probably he didn't clean up the rosin after soldering the new components

you mean that these diodes have been already replaced before from someone else? or these are from factory?
Because if these have been replaced from someone else aggrrrrrrrr Thing that i have buy it knew in the box!!! or maybe i just thought !!!!

It's a very usual issue of dm500 clone.

Your problem is L404 and L405 Coil/inductor.

Go to a man that can handle these things and fix it.
Is not expensive.

I wouldn't pay over 10-20E
If he tell you for more money--> buy a new one.

Also I think that you should it power off because its dangerous to use it.

Did you buy it from first or second hand ?
because i think that it was new but the quality...... like all clones.
