I am not so sure.... but I beleive that the HDMI > DVI Cable supplied by the makers is factory tailored to deliver Audio as well, an ordinary HDMI > DVI Cable might not work as regards the Audio output.

thats what I thought, I need confirmation from someone who has tried a normal DVI-HDMI Cable.

but he can also buy a ordinary hdmi cable and a hdmi to dvi converter

a friend of mine has recently bought a dm800 but the supplier did not send a DVI-HDMI Cable. Will a normal DVI-HDMI cable from ebay work with the DM800 properly? meaning Video and Audio both working?
