No power on dm500

Hello,
i have a problem,sinds few days don`t have more power on my dreambox500.adapter stil work but dreambox no?
mybe someone knows what`s the probleme?

i am not sure, but i know my friends problem was just like your problem, and that was ,hes motherboard was kaput. i am not sure your motherboard is defect . why not send to service?you have guarantee?

If you know someone with a dm500 ask him for his power supply and check it with your box or if you have a multimeter you can check if your power supply is giving correct voltage 12volts.once you have confirmed that the supply is ok then you can check further.

I'm afraid it's your motherboard, you can buy a new one but it's nearly the price of a chinese DM500...

the adapters have a small led light. does it light up?

What do you mean "don`t have more power "?
don't you have power at all?
Is the led light green? - or red? - or is it off?
Did you try to flash your dm?

In case your power adapter is ok...
[repair-fix of old dreambox] = [new dreambox clone]

the power connector on the motherboard could have dry joints so try resoldering all 3 legs again, hopefully it works and make sure you don't join them.

99% is a motherboard but it will be better to try with another adapter first before to purchase a new dm

in my opinion better to buy a new one rather than changing the motherboard .. money wise!
