Can you try the url I gave from an Internet browser?
on my old DM7000 (PLI image) it works (without warning, but it works)
so maybe we need to first sort out this 404 error

Ive already tried that. it brings up error.

web interface works, if you click standy via webinterface box control it just goes to standby straight away.

without prompting by the way...

ok I've found...
the command I gave is for Enigma1
for E2 :
wget -O /dev/null -q http://DreamBoxIP/web/powerstate?newstate=0

0 = Toogle Standby
1 = Deepstandby
2 = Reboot
3 = Restart Enigma2
4 = Wakeup form Standby
5 = Standby

this one should work..
but donno if it prompts for confirmation or not

it will help save electricity if people in my house forget to put it standby and a warning should come up on screen before it goes on standby to avoid interruptions.
