But I assume you put it in deep standboy at night?
Does Deep standby stiil add wear and tear to components? As someone said earlier, heat is the enemy in modern devices.

I'd personally change it. When fans get too noisy, it's not a good sign. Also, if you see the device too hot, it's another sign to change the fan.

If the device is ok and the fan is just too noisy, you can choose if to replace it or just keep it. Anyway, these fans are not too hard to replace.

If the fan is noisey then more than likely this is a clone. If so you should use an external usb fan.

when i put to deep standby my dm800 tuner m , it is hoter in the morninng than the day before i let it only in standby strange huh

Well, i always switch off my dreams when i don't watch it so, sometimes i switch off my DM 5 or 6 times a day and every nights. I never had problems with that and mine are clones...

if i am not mistaken if you have a USB fan attached to the dreambox than on standby it will still stay on so if you put it on standby i suggest that at least for the night you remove the fan if it is USB .. if you use the db for cardsharing than its not idle to switch it off, maybe you could reboot it every now and than so as to refresh it a bit.

an external laptop cooler and dreambox always alive and on ))
