DM 500 plus Computer and Wireless

I work on a construction site with wireless internet only.
I have a dm 500 plus.
I plug wireless to my computer through an externan antenna placed on top of the container because the container (metal) stops wireless reception from reaching within.
If i buy one of those wireless to lan devices, i will still have to place it on top of the container.
Is there a way of cardsharing by way of computer to dreambox through lan? or through lan/router?

You can use the dm500 plus to card share, but not "wirelessly" to the dm 500 plus receiver itself.

Running a cable from your internet router to your dm 500 will enable cardsharing to work assuming that the internet connection is high speed, the satellite dish & switches are properly aligned/configured (with the receiver) and access to a cardsharing server is available.

Internet is slow.
Ok, if i just want to view with only wireless available, how do i setup with no lan pluge-in available for my dm500? How do i setup internet access for my dm500 through the computer?

Yes you can do it. I'm assuming that on that computer you have also a wired LAN that you don't use.

Then what you have to do is like this :

1. Use a crossover cable to connect the dreambox directly to your pc, and

2. Method 1 : Share your wireless connection to the wired one.

3. Method 2 : Bridge the wired connection of the PC with the wireless one ( that can be achived from Control Panel -> Network Connections).

Using this methods, your current hardware is enough.

Yes i have a crossover lan cable and i am able to load files throgh ftp using dcc, but the dreambox doesnt autmatically connect to internet through the computer.
i will try both methods.
i also have a serial null modem cable

Yes certainly it is realizable to begin with I recommend to establish plug-ins for cardsharing and to bring in them options
