Hauppauge! WinTV Aero

Hi,

I have the opportunity to buy very cheap this USB DVB-T card - the Hauppauge WinTV Aero (model 55109LF, rev B2G3).
I have a question if somebody uses this:
Could it be used in a DM800HD PVR clone like a second tuner for the terrestrial channels? All the help will be appreciated.

Many Hauppage dvb-t usb are supported. I suppose your will be compatible too.

I have tryied the 2 modules and for the moment I haven't succeeded. I havea Black Hole image - but basically this is not important at the moment of installation. For the moment it's working on my Win pc. It was so cheap so if even it's won't working on my Dreambox it won't be a great loss.

What do you mean - it's not useless??? If you mean that it's connected to my PC - this wasn't what I intended to do whith..
Have you succeeded to install one of this USB TV tunners in dreambox?

I have installed the generic USB drivers set directly whitj the remote control and now I have the second tunner installed... It shows another name but is active... I'll start the scan and I hope It'll be work...

It's working - now I have another "sattelite" named "Terrestrial" - and shows all the tv+radio channels. Only thing - the default terrestrial frequencies are for Australia, so at the first scan it showed me nothing, but than I entered in the configuration of the USB dongle, changed it to "Europe, Asia..." and than everything was perfect.
I saw that the HD channels works whith glitches, so I'll watch them directly on the TV set, but all this was an experiment - and was a successful one.

then u install it trough blue panel
