Many of members asking how to work with DM, that's why I decided to open this topic.

For begining, i want to explain how to instal Gemini Image in dreambox (DM):

First we need to download DreamUp and right image for dreambox. Here we explain the DM 500S for other DM are not significantly different from the RS-232 cable.

WARNING: DM must be disconnected from the supply

After installation DreamUp in PC, we need to connect DM and PC with RS-232 cabel and start DreamUp.
After that, we can see this picture:

Where the serial port choose the one where it is connected to RS-232 cable and press the Connect, so now we can see the next picture



Now we can turn the voltage on DM


When the green line came to an end and when we see BOX ATTACHED AND REDY click on FLASH and you will see the next picture


Now we must find place where are we unpack and save DM image (4) mark it and click on OPEN (5), now starting image upload in DM like on next picture


When upload is finished we can see this picture


Now we click on OK, and after that on DISCONNECT


At the end click on EXIT


With that we are finished installing image on DM

In this tutorial a want to explain how to instal EMU in DM.
First we need press blue button on remote

Now we are in Blue-Panel menu



Now we need to select ADDONS and press OK, after that we can see next picture


Now we need to select gemini server or other if have more and press OK. Now we can see next picture


now need to select CAM and press OK and we can see next picture


Now we need to select Emulator, in this case it is Cccam 2.0.1, but now is available new version 2.2.1. To starting download press OK again and now can see next picture


When completed download, can see next picture


Now we need to save with green button on remote

With that, installation is completed and now is need to activate Ccam as follows: first press blue button for Blue-Panel


In Common interface field, find Cccam 2.0.11 or other with left/right arrow on remote, and than press green button for restart Cccam


EMU is now ready.

Now i want to explain you how to change password on yours DM.

First we need to download DCC software (DreamBox Control Center). After that open DCC and choose Telnet


On keyboard write passwd and press enter


Now you need to write new password, but be creful because you can't see what you write, and then press enter


Re-enter new password and press enter again


And now you can see password is changed

If you think on card married with original receiver, for now nobody does have solution for that. At least not public.

That's not true - on Intel 10-02 the romanian DTH named DigiTV has paired all the Nagra cards whith the receivers. The extraction of the BK (box Key) is a little difficult but it was made soldering 5 wires to the STB's processor pin's 101..106 (Rx, Tx...) and it was extracted whith Jtag - also the programm sows the RSA key (it's a difficult process and only worked whith a few type of STB's - they were cutted out a polymer compound putted on the processors terminals). Then using oscam and configuring the oscam.server file like you'll see above they were managed to work...
