Introduction
Backup and image your hard drives with this easy to use tool.
Storage. You can't have enough storage. If you have a desktop PC, and you're internal storage doesn't equal 1TB or more, then you really need to take a look at your local, discount computer store, and pick a drive or two up. Disk drives are cheap right now.
However, after you get it home, how do you manage it? How do you work with it? How do you make the most of it? EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition is a free hard drive partitioning utility that has all of those answers.
EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition is a free, all-in-one partition solution. It has a brand-new Windows-7-style interface and includes three main features: Partition Manager, Partition Recovery Wizard and Disk & Partition Copy. With it, you can manage MBR (Windows) and GPT (Apple) disks easily. This means that you can extend system partitions, resize and move a partition, copy a partition, more appropriately manage available disk space, rebuild a Master Boot Record, and convert a partition.
Pros: Simple, easy to use, complete, free!
Cons: Bootable drive images can only be created on internal drives, no Mac version.
Conclusion: We've looked at a number of different tools for disk partition management, and this application is a superb choice. Its small, easy to use, offers a number of different tools allowing you to create images, backups and works with both Windows as well as Apple formatted disks. The interface is easy to use and understand, so even non-technical and inexperienced computer users should be able to backup, image and upgrade boot drives on their computers with ease. If you're looking for a way to upgrade to additional storage on your Mac or Windows PC, this is a great choice.
While this application supports GUID Partition Table (GPT) formatted drives, it should be noted that this is a Windows program only. There isn't a Mac version; and users will need a Windows machine if they want to use this app to manage their Mac disks.
