Hi just google wn8 phone apps you will find plenty, I do not think leaving link to apps is any good, tastes vary also it is good to find for youself what you are looking for.
But like thecrazybandit said you could be disappointed if you have been using Android or the rotten apple versions.

The number of apps for WP 8.1 are very limited, but the install-and-let-them-read-the-whole-phone is also a lot less. Mostly just location permission needed.
But if you want to do something with sat-related apps for windows phone I guess you might need to write them yourself (there is an SDK for it) or wait for Windows 10 that is supposed to have the one program to run on all W10 platforms so you can install just any windows program on your phone.
I have a Windows phone for almost a year now and I certainly do not want to go back to spydroid anymore.

The only problem with that is the size of the files, to fit pc files on a phone and the running applications for the processors they will not be able to manage, your phone will glow in the dark with the heat generated.
A lot of good programs now need 3gig to load and run.
You are only talking MB,s for phone apps.

Well, we used to fit programs into 256k in the DOS-era.
It will come....

hello

you can run what ever you want on any phone

with a ssh client

which turns your device as a local terminal device onto a remote sshd server

that is, you gain access to your remote installed facilities
and you do not need to bother to reinstall on your phone

here it is:

- ssh client:

this lead to an empty data local phone
all data are stored remotely, securely

:)
