Not good news about xp but i will carry on using xp on older machines as well as windows 7 on the newer ones

Windows xp is 13 years old (from 2001).
I'm disappointed ,but i think is normal marketing choice...........

I have now a new pc: it had Windows 8 already installed...it's terrible... :cool:
Working a bit I removed a lot of stupid or no-privacy settings, but it's a shame. :mad:
Also no more BIOS on pc, so it's impossible what I thought before, to add some other O.S. in a partition...

I will continue with xp on my laptop.

Actual antivir and perhaps spybot will surely help.

And after a few years, my laptop is too old for newer systems, I'll buy a new one...

I had to, cause my old good pc actually exploded... :p
Two bangs inside the case and smoke.
I will try to repair...but it was old and used to work 24-7 for years...

i heard that even lenovo, and medion ( bought recently by lenovo), are just like apple:

[FONT="Courier New"]ram and hd [B]welded[/B] on mother board [/FONT]

so no more customization

even screws at the rear are welded


so long, so far, how will be the future like ?
just a pc jail,
where the client has the freedom to pay for
- apple jail, or
- a microsoft jail

and behave like in jail

Boys don't cry after windows just try Linux it is free,search google for Knoppix it is an live dvd you can boot fromdvd or better from flash external drive and if you like can install on hard or try Ubuntu live cd.

I have had partitioned my hard disk. One for XP and the second one for 7.
I need XP for my SkyStar HD S2 PCI Sat Card because of performance for the rest, Win7.

Maybe winxp is a very old os and almost all new pc's have win8 or win7 but this movement of microsoft to stop the support for winxp I thin it's not good , because some people have winxp on some very old pc's or laptops or netbooks.
They can't run any other new os, so the only choise is to stay in winxp.

Sorry mate but, as I said, on some PCs, like my new HP, this is not possible, no more double boot, and no boot from CD or DVD...
It's just like aplok said and if I knew I didn't buy it:
luckily my Technotrend SAT USB still works, but that one for DVB-T doesn't. :mad:

I was the king of partitions... :D :p
I'm joking, but on my old pc I tried a lot of things and now I'm very angry.

I can confirm that the official release date of win9 will be in April 2015,
but the first Win9 msn versions will be available in this year:)
