A good answer there from duhoki, you do not mention if you have done a system recovery go back to the day before the problem started.

ok this is not good, it may be the a problem caused by head. on the cpu they put a pasta and sometimes it goes off, this may cause several problems. have you evere done similar jobs on your pc? try watching some videos on youtube like CPU COOLER PASTA.

Re: windows freezes on boot up

Have you tried clearing the Bios memory? to see if this might help, easiest way to do this is to take out the battery and then reset, you will have to re-do the boot sequence afterwards.

              Regards Mobley3

Re: windows freezes on boot up

Boot in safe mode and try to disable some device (mouse, printer, router and so on).
If booting it find something strange in one device, it freezes.

I wanna give just a little information about this thread.
It happened very often to me a problem like this.. "freezing on start up" not depending from any hardware problem, and in my cases the windows procedure to recovery the situation always failed.
I had always have to reinstal the SO. Very bad solution.

But some month ago, i discovered Bart PE windows live.
When i got in some troubles with window OS, i start the system by booting with Bart PE, and then i can manually reload the last working configuration.

This system saved me many times, and I was able to recovery from a damage system.

                  ;)

how works it after startup? Start task manager to see performance of cpu and ram. Do you have enough power?
Kill unnecessary or attacking processes ...
                    Please push thanks.

You explained very well your experience, and this invite me to explain better what I've said before, because it's the opposite and many different situations could happen.
It happened to me a lot of times (perhaps I use not good devices :D ) this situation:
Once it was the modem (really it was the unfamous Alice router connected to a single pc with USB port), another time it was an USB receiver for dvb-T, another time a wireless mouse.
The system boots, looks for hardware and this don't answer the right way and system freeze...
I've understood the first time which was the problem because system in safe mode didn't boot with net connections, so the broken modem gave no problem...

                        A question to @thecrazybandit

Do you have any B.S.O.D. (Blue Screen of Death)
If yes... there is a hardware problem

Re: windows freezes on boot up

In my experience a windows freeze is usually due to either
                          a) A virus or malware
                          b) Corrupt drivers
                          c) Faulty or over heating power supply/ cpu fan / memory.

I suggest before reinstalling or reformatting you do the following.

Open up your pc case, suck out all the dust. A normal hoover is fine, I do it all the time usually with a brush attachment.

Blow on the cpu fan to dislodge dust , similarly the case fans.

Then being carefull start the pc with the case off, check all the fans spin.

Turn off pc, check the memory etc is seated properly.
                          ....
Assuming all is the same. If you can in anyway install spybot 1.6 do that , and also combofix.

Run combofix. It will remove any rubbish on your pc , then run spybot, then superantispyware, then malwarebytes , then an antivirus.
After all that it will be virus free . If that fails, try repairing Windows.

If that fails, back up data if you can. Reformat , reinstall. If that fails , you are in trouble as the variety of possible faults is endless.

Could you try with another RAM set, or take out one of them. Might bee problem with yoir RAM. If you have win7 cd, can you try and see if it is same?
