Microsoft Services

I heard today that Microsoft is willing to expand the service to every support they made.
Services like Xbox music :
Xbox Music will include a subscription offering and a free streaming service supported by ads. It will be available on Windows-powered phones, tablets, PCs, and the Xbox 360.
Microsoft announced the service in June, revamping its Zune Music service to better compete against Apple's iTunes, Pandora, and Spotify. The company, like rival Sony, has been trying to turn its game console into the entertainment hub of the home.
Windows 8 has already got a lots of possibility with the Metro Interface (already discussed on Windows topic)

Anyone have already tried any music/streaming service (legal of course) ?

Re: Microsoft Services

Spotify is very popular and well working stable streaming world wide music service.
Works on pc, there's ad for smartphones/tablets to. There's free and premium possibility.
Also available all over the globe compared to pandora (usa only)
Anyway microsoft has a lot of work to do to be able to compete on the streaming music market.

Microsoft is preparing to launch its Xbox Music service on October 26th. Multiple sources familiar with Microsoft's plans have confirmed the new service will launch at the same time as Windows 8.
A key part of the service is Microsoft's SkyDrive integration that will allow users to store music and playlists in a cloud collection — available across multiple devices. Although Microsoft has plans to offer Xbox Music across multiple platforms, including iOS and Android, apps will not be immediately available we're told
Re: Microsoft Services

Didn't MS have a streaming music service before which failed?

Doesn't make one feel optimistic about new service.

The prices for pemium service is similar to Spotify, available on all platforms, what will make users choose MS over Spotify or will they not be given the choice on MS's newest platforms?
