Correct, I didn't believe it either before, but apparently the router 'keeps' some information for a longer period (up to some hours if I remember right). :o

If this doesn't help, perhaps try factory reset and/or restalling latest firm of router. :cool:

just checked the router log and there has been no reboots on the router but every time i have turned the spiderbox on it says possible dos attack on the router log hopefully its just a false reading

Think about changing provider as they are the only ones who know what port is being used for your line so thats open, probably the cause of the attacks in the router logs

i have been using the same isp for years with no problems and the spiderbox with the gift for over a year has never give any problems with the router very strange

hmm, not really the same, but about 6 months ago I know someone with a similar problem (not rebooting, but scrambled on another 'gift' box) - the provider then said that they've changed 'something', but they didn't want to say what exactly. Another router solved the problem. Can you try with another router?

I have a netgear n150 i can try not the greatest of routers and does not work very well with the spiderbox but i will try it just to see if it solves the problem

just connected the netgear n15o no plug play for spiderbox so assigned a manual ip address i am connected ok at the moment no reboots no signs of a dos attack at the moment will let you know later if this changes

right i have run the netgear for 24 hours now no reboots no possible dos attacks very strange i have tried lots of lines with no problems i am i bit lost on this one all i can think its a router firewall problem

when you assign a static ip to your devices, you have to "open" on router the relative range... mine router has a dedicated "virtual router" area where you have to do this operation

try disconnect the router for a while, then test.
Check if are there update for the firmare/reinstall latest firmware

latest firmware installed router has been switched off and retested with no joy
