Simply a £1000 fine and 6 points on your licence. Can't afford that.
Won't work idiots still use mobiles while driving and glasses will be hard to detect because lot of people wear sun glasses and spectacles while driving.
Only time you will catch anybody is when an accident is caused.

And if they were in a accident all the video of the accident would be stored on the glasses

Ahahaha...It's the same problem for driving and talking on mobile. I think it's a matter of personal conscience

Interesting point of view here with a test of the google glass : (source : hxxp://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390443779404577643981045121516.html)

In all, the glasses are like a wearable smartphone, allowing the user to take pictures, send messages and perform other functions via voice-activated commands. For instance, say "OK, Glass" into one of the glasses' two microphones and a menu pops off to the side of your vision showing icons that will let you take a picture, record a video, use Google Maps or make a phone call.

After 10 minutes of playing with the glasses—which the company prefers to call Google Glass, since they don't have lenses—I could see their long-term potential. The device fit well. It was easy to snap a picture or video without taking my smartphone out of my pocket. It was cool to see the information there in front of my right eye, though a little disorienting. I kept closing my left eye, which was uncomfortable.

Take a photo or video without having to take your smartphone out your pocket. Lol
Is that how lazy society has become?
Think I'll see what happens with these before running off and buying a pair. They might go the way of betamax, the minidisc and hd dvd.

Who knows bokkie, maybe in 20 years we won't even have to talk to one another to communicate, we will just do thought transfer and send images straight to one anothers headsets, think of all the energy we will save.:D:D:D

Regards Mobley3

Re: Google Glasses, what you think?

The first set of the glasses are expected to ship to developers, who pre-ordered them for $1,500, in early 2013.
The power of marketing :) and targetting customers :
A group of models walked the catwalk while wearing Google’s high-tech glasses, which have a camera and screen built into them. If you haven’t seen the demo, the glasses really function like a wearable computer, overlaying digital information in the real world.

There’s no word on whether the particular glasses given to the models and DVF team can do more than snap photos, but it’s clear that Google’s co-founder is excited about making Glass as fashionable as possible. “Beauty, style and comfort are as important to Glass as the latest technology. We are delighted to bring Glass to the runway together with DVF,” Sergey Brin said in a statement.

I'm not really sold on the looks of them. Pretty tacky looking if you ask me.
