In Win.7 if you have Power DVD 12 you can convert 2 D to 3D analgic whith red cyan glasses
For 3D content you need to have a 3D telly to watch it. Its as simple as that.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

You can see 3D programs on a tv without this feature. With DVBViewer (PCSAT TV receiver) you can choose anaglyph shaders to see this broadcasting 3D channels with a red-cyan pair of glasses and a conventional tv set.
Best regards.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

i had some test from 2d to 3d and i wasnt happy with the result on my pc. on my 3D active LG TV i try watching a football match from 2D HD to 3D and it has a bit better, you may get a dizzy with those glasses. As far of all the 3D movies i had saw so far i only like the cartoon and some horror movies.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

The best 3D contants are SBS(Side By Side) or TTB (Top to Bottom). The rest of them dont give any picture depth which is the most important factor in 3D quality.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

Most of 3D TV set have the 2D to 3D converter option. And many more have the SD to HD 100Hzs. scaled converter option too.
3D side by side is for me the best option to watch 3D tv with passive glasses.
When you converts from 2D to 3D all the images are into the screen. You can watch deep but never will watch an image out of the screen as 3D original films do it.
It is another option to use our 3D tvs. when there is no channels broadcastin 3D programs.
I don't recomend to use 3D option full time, because you will go blind.

Best regards.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

Active glasses are the best option to watch 3D. I would mention again that the depth of the picture counts all the time. This is the reason the people hate 3D when they experience a poor quality picture.

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

from my experience, converting 2D in the 3D the minimum effect even in special glasses is gained, the full-fledged 3D effect can be gained only when viewing programs and movies removed in 3D, using points and naturally 3D TV

Depends on the format of your video. The best one is MKV which is played by most 3D TVs. The minimum RIP of 3D movies would be about 9GB for the best quality and depth. Please check the format.
one more tip. Remember to turn on the 3D menu on you TV. (Selecting Auto would not do the job)!

Re: 2d to 3d converter?

Converting 2d to 3d can only have a poor result because it has to approach movement-vectors of the whole picture to create the third dimension. Normal TVs or programs are not able to do this with good result. Perhaps in future (with better processors) it will be possible to generate good 3d-converts of older films.

Don't think 3D technology is getting any popularity on TV otherwise there would be a lot more channels available for viewing. We can only see a few channels at the moment.

Ohh, I think it will raise in future. Toshiba e. g. is testing 3D TVs without glases and if they have success, this will grow up. The using of 3D is to uncomfortable at the moment, but in a few years this could change.
