Re: wireless printing on a budget

what do you want to have as minimum requirements?
for me is the epson sx235w (all-in-one) good enough and i think it's much cheaper..
i especially like that i can change every color seperately (many brands can), but epson has cheap inkt refill cartridges..

but it depends on your demands/requirements..

            hi

I have to confirm the biggest (hidden) cost is the ink (black + colour - colour sometimes in 1 cartridge and sometimes seperately). In the end, the ink will cost you a lot more than the printer itself (if you print regularly of course). Just want to say to pay attention to the prices of the cartridges (orginal + alternatives)!

yeah, I've been hooked before by the cheap printer expensive refill scenario .

little suggestion: if you print frequently and want good quality, you might consider a laserprinter (ok, toners cost a lot, but you can print thousands of pages).
I'm still using an Epson and an HP (both inkjet), but future one will be a colourlaser.

The cheapest way to print, is to print with inkjet and refill with needles. Even with high price ink you print nearly for free.

I would suggest a canon printer and a refill set with chip resetter this works really well. The printers are cheap and the jet is inside the printer. I use this setup a long time now and i would suggest it to everyone else.

The MG5250 will be a cheap choice over the time. Do you have a wlan router with usb? Maybe you dont need a wlan printer in that case and can plug it in there. So you could buy a even cheaper printer.

                    hi

Good idea (and surely the cheapest way), although I know some people who tried this and weren't satisfied with the printing quality (don't know which brand), in the end they all bought a laserprinter.
Do you have the same printing quality as with the original cartridges?

I use ink from a brand named sudhaus. Looks as good as original. Printed about 2000 pages with it and no problems.

                            hi

don't know the CISS, but just looked shortly and seems very promising, surely if you print a lot it will be a lot cheaper ; thanks for the tip!

also read: disadvantage is that the printerhead of an CISS is very difficult to clean and to replace ; ink of the original manufacter seems to give better printresult ; also too thin or too thick ink can cause problems ; tests with CISS positive with Canon and Epson ; negative with HP -> you may have taken the right choice.
