Windows 7 SP1 Need Help!!?

Good Morning all;

Have since few days problem with my windows 7 ,SP 1,
When i try to open some programms(internet explore..VLC,...) from my Desktop nothing goes open,also from start all programms
the only way to open them is with my pouching on the right side of my mouse an go to the file and excute the program.

I scan my PC with antivirus nothing find
i scan my PC for Malware but nothing find.

Can some hulp for this issue pls.

Just a quick solution you might want to try.

Do a restore to a date where you knew the problem wasnt there.

Maybe want to tell when did the problem start? after installing a program, updating to sp1 or what? Have you tryed to start in safe mode.

Have you tried uninstalling sp1 or doing a reinstall of windows 7?
but before that id do what duhoki suggested.
System restore has helped me out many times in the past.

I recommand to perform a ghost image before applying SP1

Just to be on the safe side i suggest you to do a full scan with malwarebyte anti malwarebytes(free) when in safe mode. This is a great tool which always helps me out with such malware or virus that could do similar thing like you mentions.

by the way how is it when starting in safe mode?

Have you used a registry cleaner? cause maybe there are some defect registry entries... :)

Sounds like you had a virus that replaced the launcher program.

It was a problem with .lnk files - the wrong behavour of such filetypes in windows.
You had to try something like create an extra user profile, login with different name, if everything would be Ok - kill your old profile and work with healthy one.
