    acer revo as satellite receiver?

Hi all. Just wanted your thoughts on whether it would be possible to use my acer aspire revo for cs? It is used as an htpc and there is no room for expansion internally, so any tuner would have to be external usb.
    Any ideas?

I have a Revo 3700 which was fine on DVB T but as soon as I put a HD reciever near it, it wasn't very happy at all. It's now running Openelec PVR from SD as a client for my mediaportal server.

Re: acer revo as satellite receiver?

The suggestion I would make is that I would not use a PC to serve as a satellite receiver. The point is that you will be using it for one purpose at a time. To buy a decent quality sat card would also cost a bit of money. If you are not bothered to use your receiver as a server then buy a cheapo (openbox, skybox) for about £50-£60. My opinion is that a computer can never replace a receiver.
