    Re: google spies on you

perhaps if you got the cash, have two ip providers, 1 for satlovers and browsing web etc, an 1 for personal use.
Do not send me iptv/cline requests,

technical or iptv/cline server questions in PM!

    I will not answer!

I use CCleaner. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. However, if you want to see sites inconvenient, or hide your activities, etc. .. you can always use another IP using a notebook with key Internet.

Just delete cookies after close browser. On Internet Explorer there is a setting that automatically deletes the data after closing the browser ;)

                hi

                I also use ccleaner.

                @zitraig
menu - extra - internet options - advanced -> under security there's an option: 'empty map with temporary files after closing your browser' (or something like this - it's not in english here)

Does anyone know if peerblock helps? I have been using it and just seeing the number of blocked attempts to access my computer from ips all over is scary.

                      hi locan

Been trying your tip about the ducks, but must say sometimes it takes up to about 10-20 seconds until search is finished, and also always much less found than google.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong??

                        Hi Pan,
Yeah you're right, in some kind of ways google is much faster in results but the experience i've made are that duckduck is not searching for uninteresting things like for example if you search for "Mohamed Ali" then it will only show you you things about ali and nothing else which has nothing to do with him, thats what i have experience since i'm using this site and the makers are trying to increase the results and make it better, but also google is a much bigger company and with the tracking and bots they are using, its much easier to find results even if they are not really the results that you searched for ^^ btw i never looked more results on google then 5 sites and the more you change to the next page the more weird gets your results.

Hope i could help btw if im wrong or someone things to know it better please feel free to correct me.

                        Best regards locan

Edit: I also forgot to say that duckduck doesn't care about country restriction you can use any country for your search. That's also something i'm missing when i was searching on google or other sites. Also you can change some options like the results can be found directly because the default settings are if you scrolling down it then will search for it.

                          Re: google spies on you

I noticed another thing with the search. I seached some key words on google with virginmedia. Got the search results which were all around in that area.
Connected to another provider and searched the same key words in similar order on google. Now this time the search results were completely different in the same area.

                            Re: google spies on you

Not only Google spies us. Windows, Microsoft do the same. Windows as I said on another post, is one of the most important spywares in the world.
Yes There are two known forms of surveillance. When the user searches for a word in their own files, the computer sends a message saying what words have been searched, and when Windows asks for an update, send a message to Microsoft with a list of all programs installed on the machine.
                            'It's terrible.
-It is the consequence of having granted the power. A company, once the power has always abused.

                            Best regards.

not only google spies you..also facebook, microsoft, and all devices connected to the internet/gps/gsm/..

Is a choice: use the 1.000.000.000 services provided by google/facebook/internet and "risk" in term of privacy, or do NOTHING and take your personal data "at home"! :)

For internet security, I think the better is "use you credential only with the site you're registered" (for example: facebook account only on facebook site and not in other 10.000 plugins/site that promise some ''benefits" if you sign in with your facebook accounts; same for other account: bank account, msn account, skype, google...)

"most of the problems of a PC is between the chair and the desk!" ;)

You are absolutely right M8, Far too much info given out by people in facebook, myspace etc. accounts, and then they wonder why they suffer abuse and other problems. Give as little info as you can, only way to contain some privacy.
