    Windows 8 RTM Leaked

A Windows 8 RTM torrent has already appeared on trackers around the web, just two days after Microsoft began distributing the finalized code to major PC partners around the globe. It’s not the first time this has happened of course — previous products have been rapidly leaked — but this is perhaps the biggest Windows 8 leak since Microsoft plugged the holes by firing two employees back in May of 2011.

      Re: win beta 8

On the first day of August, Microsoft announced that its final, final version of Windows 8 is ready. As just announced in a Microsoft Windows blog, Windows 8 has reached released to manufacturing (RTM). RTM is a specific version, a specific build, of the product. It isn't a date. Once upon a time, RTM was the version Microsoft declared as finished (or gold), signifying that it could be shipped to the CD manufacturers (thus "to manufacturing") who would duplicate the discs, stick them into shrink-wrapped boxes, and ship them to retailers.
Windows 8 RTM is different from previous releases of Windows. In particular, there's no "manufacturing" in the sense of shrink-wrapped boxes. The blog makes it clear that Microsoft will dribble out the Win8 RTM code to developers (via MSDN and TechNet), PC manufacturers, and corporate customers though August. General release is still set for Oct 26.

        Re: win beta 8

Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything yet about 128 bit. Soon after the RTM version is set, hardware manufacturers (OEMs) will run final tests and start manufacturing new Windows 8 PCs. Historically, soon after OEMs receive the finished code, leaked copies start showing up in public. (Microsoft's largest customers also get gold code about the same time as OEMs, providing another source for leaked code.)

There's 512 bit hardware is needed to run 512 bit os.
And still there is NO 128 bit processor, all talks about 128 bit win8-9-10 are empty can rattle.
How many people use 64 bit M$ OS with only 64 bit apps? Not a one.
They are unable to make good 64 bit and you saying about 128 bit...

            Re: win beta 8

Starting Aug. 15, anyone with a MSDN or TechNet subscription will be able to download the Windows 8 RTM code. I bet that, within a day or two of Win8's appearance on the MS tech sites, more than a million copies will be out in the wild.

Windows RT doesn’t have a Windows 7–style desktop, and it doesn’t run the kinds of programs you’re running right now. You can run only Metro-style programs on a Windows RT computer, and they must come from the Microsoft store. Most of what we know about Windows RT has come from Microsoft and from demos on tablets (such as the recently announced Surface with a detachable keyboard) or on devices that look like Ultrabooks with docking keyboards.

Windows RT runs on ARM chips, not on the Intel/AMD chips found in traditional PCs. Supposedly, ARM chips aren’t as powerful, power-hungry, or hot as Intel/AMD chips, which is why they’re used in mobile devices. That said, computer manufacturers are coming up with ARM-based machines that look every bit as powerful as today’s Ultrabooks but will use Metro-style applications.

                  Re: win beta 8

Please, to all of you that have tried Win8 beta. I need to know if I can install win8 beta in my pc.
I have a Pentium dual core 2,8 Mhz.
                  2 Giga Ram DDR2 Memory.
                  AMD ATI 5000 HD Series.

                  Faqs:

                  What system resources needed?
Do it run on Win8 beta all programs produced for Win7?
Are the drivers specific or are the same as for Win7?
Win8 beta is faster or slower than Win7?
Does the beta version can be used forever or have an expiration date?
Is it worth installing beta Win 8 on my pc?
Win8 beta, is an upgrade version or clean installation?
Where I can get Win8 beta?

                  Beta or RT version.

                  Best regards.

One update for who use the beta

                    Windows Store

To compete with Apple, Windows has confirmed the introduction of a Windows Store, similar to Mac App Store, which allows users to browse through Windows applications, while developers can publish their Metro-style apps on Windows 8 devices.

Few days back, Microsoft gave a strategic view of its app store, and gave a quick demo on how it works. Microsoft revealed that the Windows App Store will be the only place where users can access the Metro-styled apps. Here’s a quick demo that shows how users will be able to buy their apps:

Unlike Windows XP and Win7, Windows 8 isn’t going to take the computing world by storm. PC users having thoroughly mouse- and keyboard-centric work styles aren’t going to like the eye-jarring shifts to the Metro Start screen.

Unless they improove and update their DirectX package.

anyone who prefers the Metro touch-screen interface won’t want to lug around a tablet that’s close to a laptop in weight and battery life. Yes, there will be specific situations where an individual or a company might want the full Windows 7–style desktop on a touch-sensitive machine, but it will most likely be a niche market.

I bet you Windows evolution will be ported into tablet.:D
Like this website :hxxp://www.windows-8-tablet.com/ , and what you said before about the Metro touch screen, users who have a PC or laptop could have a special need for a tablet (like the Ipad) and they will have on those tablet the last version of windows 8
Maybe it's a niche market ,but like I said before, if you do a very good communication plan ,they can open the market to a large target!

win 8 is particularly for touch screen and this is necessary for the microsoft to improve their Directx package which may support the the high quality grapic cards . Now adays a preview of windows 8 has relaese and soon origional operating system will be offered now looking forword to win 8

In addition to the Metro interface, Windows RT also has a Windows 7–style desktop. Presumably, as in Windows 8, you can access it through a desktop tile. Unlike Windows 8, though, you can’t install your own apps to run on the Windows RT desktop. At this point, the only apps that will run on the RT desktop come from Microsoft — such as the variant of File Explorer (formerly known as Windows Explorer). Whether it will run Internet Explorer 10 is not clear, but the browser is definitely a candidate.
