Twitter is the winner of this fight. Twitter is growing day by day with their trending topics, and many people prefer Twitter instead Facebook.
Google + had a hard time reaching that level.
That's my opinion.

I don't know why people think facebook will always remain top. Just look at MySpace before it, everyone thought that was never going to be defeated. Facebook day will come, but when you have competition like Google+ it will only help make both products better. Competition is always good for the end user!

@darkbus: I agree!!! I just want to say that - why anyone think that FB will ALWAYS be first?
For all young members - first we have Internet Explorer (browser), and his competition was Netscape. And now - Netscape don't exist anymore!Now we have Chrome...
Also, Yahoo (search) was a number one form searchers, but now Google is the best searcher... Mail - also - we had Hotmail like one of most used mail server, but now GMail is leader...

Google don't give up. They try with ideas. Some is good, some users don't use and understand, and some we love it. Maybe G+ will or will not beat Facebook, but it will make better social networks, and give us more interesting options in a future....

I can actually see facebook turning out a bit like yahoo. They need to start looking to add new services. Otherwise in 10 years time we will be looking at it just as we now look at myspace.

With enough determination and time. But yes they will need to take the next step in social networking like facebook did from myspace.

Google+ will have only a chance to overtake facebook if the make an complete relaunch with some special features.

After some weeks Google+ is dead!

I don't know google plus but I'm curious to test it, I think that facebook is the top social network at the moment...but it's not in competition with twitter because twitter is inspired by another communication philosophy....!

Yes, can only agree with you. In my opinion Google+ was a complete fail, it will never reach the number of users, facebook has.

Twitter grew up thanks to the integration with iOS 5 ;)
