Re: MS Office coming to iOS devices

I have found a little review of Microsoft Office to the iPhone with some images:

    _http://mashable.com/2013/06/14/office-iphone/

The version of Office the iPhone's getting is Office Mobile, which is nearly identical to the apps that already exist on Windows Phone. It includes phone-friendly versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, but not other Office apps such as Outlook.
    regards

so is this another costumer for Microsoft or do they joined forces against others? i think that Microsoft is just giving for sale a product that it will go for free if it doesn't make the correct move.

          i agree completely,

          even more, a ms office 1995 should do 80% of the job to view doc on such a small screen;

i can not imagine myself editing doc, excel on my gsm ...

also they are smaller, quicker to start an requires less ram

when i say obsolescence in 4 years, i think at the obsolescence of the ratio apps-hardware, the apps may stay constant, by the hardware will boost

may be both, a free one with adds or limited options and a pay one for the full version.

It is not free, to access the app, you need a £7.99 per month Microsoft Office
365 subscription, and there’s no iPad version yet, IMO not worth it.

If MS were to make it a simple paid for app who would invest in a win8 phone/pad who's
main selling point in adverts was that it is more of a productive tool than the Apple devices,
shooting one self in the foot comes to mind.

if the price is correct then i totally agree too much money and its not worth it, i could even think to give £7.99 for lifetime not just one month.

                      hi,

how much should you price a software,

genuined from well a established and amortized suite,
                      issued by a retro-engineering r&d process,
to simplify it to minimalist (1) ?

                      (1) one, two or three peanuts
                      (2) £ 7.99 per month
                      (3) £ 95 a year
                      (4) € 111.15 a year !

                      ?

                      ---

Microsoft is here to make money but if the office comes with many limitations for such value it's better to use free software or buy iWork for iOS.

                          regards

no, definitively, i do not known a free productivity suite able to do a similar job right as
                              - minimal editing options,
                              - not possible to insert images
                              - not able to create charts,
                              - not able to undo/redo

                              on a wide 3.5" screen,
                              sorry

                              except viewers

Viewers: you've got plenty of them, even for free !
