    Re: MS Office coming to iOS devices

    Certain third-party Office apps are already available for iOS and Android users.
    CloudOn offers an Office document viewer and editor. OnLive Desktop provides a virtual Windows environment with access to versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Documents to Go is another app that lets you view and edit Office documents.

                By iOS we mean iPhone OS therefore if MS office came to such devices it might
                help people using say the iPad with productivity.

                  That's right, CISCO routers have nothing to do with MS Office.

                    Is there an official confirmation? In the tablets war i don´t think microsoft wants to give such a trump to directly competitors. If they build office for iOS it should have a lot of limitations. They want to sell their own tablets.

                    regards

                      I have read it that microsoft officially released the MS office for ios on the 14th of june 2013. I have already saw opinions about it and there several limitations as you said. For example, minimal editing options, not possible to insert images or create charts, no undo/redo. In addition, an Office 365 subscription is required to use this application.

                        Yes, is online for office 365. So is a subscription that subscribe annualy, for 5 pc or Mac cost 99€ for 1 year or if You are Student cost 79€ for 4 years (but in this case You can use it for only 2 pc)

                          [qote]
                          ... minimal editing options, not possible to insert images or create charts, no undo/redo ...
                          ... for 5 pc or Mac cost 99 E for 1 year or if You are Student cost 79E for 4 years for 2 pc ...
                          [/qote]

                          well, that should do it :

                          5 pc for 1 year = 99 € -> 99 / ( 5 * 1 ) = 20 € / ( pc * year )
                          2 pc for 4 years = 79 € -> 79 / ( 2 * 4 ) = 10 € / ( pc *year ) + obsolesence decay value for 4 years + attached to MS for 4 years ...
                          + no undo/redo ...

                            I don't no, obsolecence in 4 years For office is exsessive, i have office 2007, and it is still good. Again, this licence are For home and not For office.

                              New Office package looks good, but Office 2007 is more than sufficient for current usage, it has xml file format and does most of functionality that is needed. Plus it is cheap comparing to current licensing model

                                Exact! Without going off topic, mine was a way of saying that in 4 years office remains existing and usable
