    New iPad2

Two cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording. The dual-core A5 chip. 10-hour battery life.1 Over 200 new software features in iOS 5. And iCloud. All in a remarkably thin, light design. There’s so much to iPad, it’s amazing there’s so little of it.

When you pick up iPad, it becomes an extension of you. That’s the idea behind its innovative design. It’s just 0.34 inch thin and weighs as little as 1.33 pounds, so it feels completely comfortable in your hands.2 And it makes surfing the web, checking email, watching movies, and reading books so natural, you’ll wonder why you ever did it any other way.

Two powerful cores in one A5 chip mean iPad can do twice the work at once. Multitasking is smooth, apps load quickly, and anything you touch responds instantly. And with up to nine times the graphics performance of the first-generation iPad, everything on iPad 2 is even more fluid and realistic, from gameplay to scrolling through your photo library.

    Instant On.Touch and go.
Pick up your iPad, press the Home button, and it wakes from sleep instantly. That’s because iPad features fast, efficient, and reliable flash storage that lets you access data quickly. So everything effortlessly springs to life.

Even with such a thin, light design, iPad has an incredible 10-hour battery life.1 That’s enough juice for one flight across the ocean, or one movie-watching all-nighter, or a week’s commute across town. Because iPad hardware and software are made for each other, the power-efficient A5 chip works with the iOS software to keep battery life from fading away.

You’ll see two cameras on iPad — one on the front and one on the back. They may be tiny, but they’re a big deal. They’re designed for FaceTime video calling, and they work together so you can talk to your favorite people and see them smile and laugh back at you.3 The front camera puts you and your friend face-to-face. Switch to the back camera during your video call to share where you are, who you’re with, or what’s going on around you. When you’re not using FaceTime, let the back camera roll if you see something movie-worthy. It’s HD, so whatever you shoot is a mini-masterpiece. And you can take wacky snapshots in Photo Booth. It’s the most fun a face can have.

Surf the web, check email, watch movies, play games, and more. Have your favorite subscriptions delivered straight to Newsstand. Join the conversation with iMessage. And remember everything and anything with Reminders. With iPad, how you do things will never be the same.

    NEW
    Newsstand
iPad is great for reading newspapers and magazines. And now with Newsstand, you can find and organize your subscriptions all in one place. News travels fast as new issues are automatically downloaded in the background. And if you find yourself running low on reading material, you’re only a tap away from the App Store.

    NEW
    Messages with iMessage
Welcome to the conversation, iPad. iMessage is the new way to send text messages between iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users running iOS 5. It’s built into the Messages app and it’s free and unlimited over Wi-Fi.* So you can say as much as you want. Or as little as you want. Send a picture, share a video, or message everyone at once with group messaging. It’s a great conversation starter.

*For iPad with 3G, normal carrier data rates may apply.

    Mail

You check your email many times a day, and iPad actually makes it fun. Scroll through messages with your finger. See all your mail from every account at once. Type with the onscreen keyboard that helps you write. And view and open attachments right in the message. There’s no better place for an inbox.

    Safari

The Internet can be a huge, hard-to-fathom kind of place. Yet iPad makes it easy to explore. Hold the web in your hands like a book or magazine. Use your fingers to move around a website, zoom in on images and text, and tap links. Once you see the web on iPad, it’s hard to see it any other way.

    iBooks

Download iBooks from the App Store and you’ll be even more well-read. Every story is gripping on the beautiful iPad display. Flick through page after page of bright text and gorgeous illustrations. When you’re ready for more, shop the iBookstore. And wherever you go, pull out your iPad, and get pulled back in.

    FaceTime

FaceTime on iPad 2 lets you drop in on your favorite people and see how they’re doing. And what they’re doing. You could be anywhere, they could be anywhere. With a tap, your iPad 2 calls someone else’s iPad 2, iPhone, iPod touch, or Mac over Wi-Fi.1 And there you are, face-to-face, in the middle of a friend’s party or with your family on the couch.

    Photo Booth

When the mood strikes, turn the camera on yourself, make some faces, and start shooting snapshot-style. Choose from artsy, wacky, and weird effects. Twist up your face, see yourself doubled, or look like you stepped into a comic book. Photo Booth is great for parties or just for kicks. And the fun keeps coming as you keep snapping.

    NEW
    Reminders

When there’s something you need to remember, let iPad remember it for you. Create a list of chores, groceries, or homework assignments. Set a due date and Reminders will send you a notification to keep you on track. Bet your sticky notes can’t do all that.

    Photos

It’s super-advanced show-and-tell for photos. Swipe through them one by one in all their full-screen glory. Or choose a favorite song, pick a fun transition, and create a slideshow. Turn iPad into the perfect frame with the iPad Smart Cover. Or stream photos to your HDTV with AirPlay for an even bigger show.2

    Music

If you love listening to music, you’ll love seeing it, too. On the big iPad display, color pops, so your album art rocks. And when you flip through your favorite albums in Cover Flow, you’ll see just how great your music taste really is.

    Videos

There’s an HD movie or TV show playing on a plane, train, subway, or couch near you. It’s your own little big screen — 9.7 inches of high-resolution everything. Hold it in your hands or use the iPad Smart Cover as a stand. And whatever you watch is a two-thumbs-up tour de force.

    iTunes

Anytime’s a good time to fill your iPad with music, movies, TV shows, and so much more. Tap the iTunes icon and browse around. Millions of songs and thousands of movies and TV shows are ready and waiting for you to download, right then and there. Or here and now.3

    App Store

Tap the App Store icon and you’ll find over 140,000 apps made for iPad, and counting. There are apps for anything and everything — from entertaining the kids in the backseat to packing for vacation. Many of them are free. You can download them fast. And every trip to the App Store makes your iPad even better.

    Find My iPad

Oops. You misplaced your iPad. Don’t worry, Find My iPad will help you do just what it says.4 When you first get your iPad, set up Find My iPad in a few simple steps. Then if you lose it, you’ll see the approximate location of your iPad on a map. And before you know it, you and your iPad will be happily reunited.

    Maps

With iPad, you’ll know where you are, where you’re going, and how to get there. You’ll even find things to see, places to eat, and landmarks to visit along the way. See the best routes in satellite view, terrain view, or street view. Even avoid traffic.

    *******

Get ready for really big doses of a little entertainment. ******* on iPad makes videos easier to find and more fun to watch. After all, what’s a waiting room, conference room, or hotel room without stupid pet tricks, foreign TV shows, and skateboarding mishaps?

    Game Center

iPad is your playing field, and now you can invite anyone to get in on the game. Round up a group of friends in your gaming network, or go up against people you don’t know. Then destroy them. It’s all in good fun. Or is it?

    Notes

You never know when a great idea will pop into your head. Before you lose it, pull out iPad and jot it down. The big display is the best place to keep important information, make to-do lists, and take notes. You can even email yourself reminders.

    Calendar

Work, home, and everything in between. All your schedules are easy to read and easy to manage on iPad — even when everything happens at once. Calendar cleans up, organizes, and creates calm in the most hectic schedules.

    Contacts

Contacts isn’t just names and numbers. It’s email addresses, IM nicknames, birthdays, anniversaries, websites, and anything else you can think of about everyone and anyone you know.

Apps for iPad. Made by Apple.
Make music with your fingertips in GarageBand. Edit HD movies in iMovie. Write novels, present your big ideas, or crunch some numbers with Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. Share your location and see what friends and family are up to with Find My Friends. Apple apps for iPad — available from the App Store — give you all the power and fun you need to do more than you ever thought possible. Wherever you go.

The world’s most advanced mobile operating system.
iPad is years and years ahead of any other device that has tried to come close — all thanks to iOS. With its easy-to-use interface, innovative technology, amazing features, and rock-solid stability, iOS is the foundation for everything that makes iPad great.

In the end all they do for spending per box, and resent that brands like Samsung have ideas, make them compete with Android and more competitive prices.

I like samsung and think they they are giving apple some big competition. But have you sen how much a galaxy tablet looks like a ipad? I didn't understand why apple were sueing them (but not other companies who deliver tablets), but when you look at it compared to a ipad, it looks nearly identical hardware wise.

Sure, so Germany has forbidden the shell of Samsung Galaxy tablet PC.
But Ipad uses iOS5 and Galaxy uses android O.S.
